Sequel Holdings Announces Acquisition of BD&K Foods by Chairmans Foods

Sequel Holdings announced today that Chairmans Foods, a Sequel portfolio company since July 2017, has acquired BD&K Foods, LLC.
BD&K Foods, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, is a manufacturer and marketer of customized, ready-to-eat side dishes and refrigerated sauces, as well as “grab-and-go” items for retail deli departments. With the majority of its products being kettle-cooked side dishes sold primarily in the retail channel, BD&K nicely complements Chairmans’ existing offerings.
Chairmans Foods, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, manufactures fresh refrigerated and frozen food products for sale to the grocery, club and foodservice channels. The company’s primary products include (i) refrigerated component kits and custom solutions for the deli departments of grocery retailers, (ii) refrigerated pre-packaged chicken salad sold under the Comfort Cuisine® label, (iii) kettle-cooked customized side dishes, and (iv) prepared entrees, soups, sauces and queso products for foodservice and other customers.
